This table shows metrics obtained from our projects collection considered public goods, which we have worked on since 2021 🐇🕳️. All repositories shown are ready & free to use and fork since inception. These contributions have helped improve the experience of using Foundry, Hardhat, React, Tenderly, Gnosis Safe, and Optimism & Ethereum. This has benefited projects and developers, improving their experience and improving their work with all these tools available.

How do we interpret this data? 🤔

Due to the nature of these tools, it is not easy to define a specific metric solely for the Optimism ecosystem. These tools are designed to benefit the entire Ethereum ecosystem, as public goods should be built.

GitHub provides relevant numbers and quantitative insights such as:

• ⭐ Stars: An indicative of its popularity. When a user leaves a star, they express their interest or approval.
• 🤲🏻 Dependencies: having dependents shows how other projects’ repository codebases use the repository. This metric is relevant for libraries, not other repositories such as tooling, protocols, etc, which stay at zero.
• 👁️‍🗨️ Watchers: developers interested in the repository who want to stay updated with the changes and last releases.
• 🍴 Forks: indicates how often the repository has been copied by other projects and developers, using it as a baseline to make contributions or extensions of such.
• 🏷️ Releases: from the developer's point of view, it suggests how much the project has improved since its first release, taking care of its maintenance and feedback received.
